CPE have published an animated video that explains how GP practices can refer patients to the Pharmacy First service. The goal is to enhance GPs and their teams' understanding of the service.

CPLSC Drop In Events -ENDED

CPLSC have now hosted three DROP in sessions on the 24th and 25th and 29th January, one for self employed professionals and two others for contractors, managers and employees. These sessions have supported over 150 Community Pharmacists. The purpose of these sessions has been to address any final questions or queries ahead of the Pharmacy First GoLive on 31st January

Agilio - Pharmacy First - Free e-learning for pharmacists from NICE Clinical Knowledge Summaries authors

To support the rollout of the NHS Pharmacy First Service, Agilio has developed 7 free e-learning courses available on their iLearn platform for these common conditions. These accredited courses are based on NICE CKS and aligned to the NHS England clinical pathways and PGDs. All these courses are free to access and include a case study and multiple-choice questions to test understanding, with a certificate of completion.

CPPE Pharmacy First Resources

CPPE's self-assessment framework has been released. The main purpose of this document is to support you (the pharmacy professional) to reflect on your knowledge, skills and behaviours as required to provide all the elements of the NHS Pharmacy First service, to identify any gaps and to support you in taking action to develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours if necessary. The new Pharmacy First programme is now rolled out across England, and features 3 common dermatological conditions that can now be managed by community pharmacy - who will be able to treat shingles, impetigo and insect bites via PGD.
